Our mango trees at Trivandrum bore large quanity of fruits and I got it a fair share of it in Bangalore. It's the first time our trees has bore mangoes in such numbers. Kottukonam, is it's breed. It's a popular variety back home, and it's flavour and taste are know to all Keralites.
After a long long time, it's now that I got to enjoy eating mangoes in such manner. I don't think I'll ever get fed up eating the king of fruits. Most of the time, I like to cherish it but eating it in a messy way, much to the dislike of my partner.
The fresh juice shops in B'lore are laid with very colourful mangoes, but when it's taken it, it betrays it's looks. I have heard that most ot these are riped using artificial methods.
I also see mangoes kept for sale at Food wold but it all looks too artificial from the ones I've at my table.
